This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

The earliest piece of human art ever found is a voluptuous female figure, known as the Woman of Willendorf, thought to represent a Mother Goddess.
The Sacred Mother embodies many things; the feminine gender, fertility and the creation of life, nurturing and comfort, purity, protection, unconditional love and the earth itself, among others.
Every culture has a mother figure in their mythology. They are often the female counterpart to the main male god, but many scholars believe that in earlier pagan (pre-Christian) times, the goddess was regarded as the supreme deity because of her exclusive ability to give birth.
In this piece, the Christian figure of the Virgin Mary (the mother of Jesus Christ) is central. Her pregnant belly is represented by a mandala made of intersecting heart shapes that signify a motherA...
